From new partnerships to expanding services and embracing fresh opportunities, we’ve evolved in ways that reflect our commitment to delicious nutrition. Here’s a look at the milestones that defined our year and what’s next for 2025.
Events
We had the privilege of engaging with our community at events across Upstate New York:
- June: American Diabetes Association Tour De Cure
- July: Keuka College Wellness Weekend at the Lake
- August: Rochester VegFest
- September: Goodwill FLX Wellness Wonderland and RTS Wellness Fair
- November: Grow NY Food and Ag Summit
- December: Spirit & Abundance Holiday Market and Charter Champions Toy Drive
These events provided invaluable opportunities to connect with people, share our mission, and foster meaningful relationships.
Content and Community Engagement
In 2024, Chef Ryan expanded Sweet Pea’s reach through creative projects that foster connection and provide insights into plant-based living:
- "Plant-Powered with Chef Ryan" premiered on Eat This TV Network and is now available on YouTube. The series highlights plant-based recipes and cooking techniques to inspire healthy eating at home.
- "Shelling Peas: A Plant-Powered Podcast" launched in partnership with the Lunchador Podcast Network, featuring 18 episodes this year. Highlights included a conversation with Dr. Michael Greger, a leading authority on plant-based nutrition, as well as discussions with Grow NY finalists and several inspiring restaurateurs, entrepreneurs, and innovators.
Business Updates
New Pickup Points
We expanded our footprint with new pickup locations, making it easier than ever for customers to access Sweet Pea meals:
- Metro Fitness in Syracuse
- Eden Cafe in Batavia
- Sarah Lynn Nutrition in Buffalo, Syracuse, and Pittsford
Wellness Partnerships
We strengthened existing relationships and formed new ones, including continued collaboration with Smola Consulting on initiatives like the Good Life Challenge, and new partnerships with Rezenity Health and Sarah Lynn Nutrition.
Co-Packing Services
In 2024, we launched co-packing services, helping local brands like Homechow Foodservice, Junabar Granola, and Seen Nutrition bring their products to market.
New Locations
We secured spaces in Ithaca and Syracuse, setting the stage for new Sweet Pea locations in 2025 that will bring our plant-based meal options to even more communities.
Brand Refresh
October brought a reimagined look for Sweet Pea, complete with new branding and compostable packaging, underscoring our commitment to sustainability.
Team Growth
This year, we welcomed talented new team members who have strengthened our ability to serve our customers and grow our mission:
